Thanks to ACC Climate Control’s aggressive attitude toward research, development and product improvement as well as our proactive participation in worldwide idle reduction programs, we have developed systems that eliminate the necessity of truck, bus and specialty vehicles to idle during harsh weather conditions. These systems are battery or shore power. We also offer fuel-fired heaters.

Advanced Refining Concepts

Advanced Refining Concepts (ARC) develops and manufactures fuels that produce cleaner emissions and more efficient combustion. ARC’s products are manufactured using the company’s proprietary ClearRefining process, a pollution-free, single-step method for liquefying and combining natural gas, or other biogases, with a petroleum base to form ultra clean liquid motor and industrial fuels. Replacing traditional petroleum-based fuels with the company’s domestically produced fuel products reduces greenhouse gas emissions and reliance on imported oil. The company’s products, GDiesel, GPetrol and GJet, are compatible with existing fuel storage and dispensing equipment and require no modifications to vehicles or power generating equipment.

Alcoa Wheels

A forged aluminum wheel weighs a much as half as a steel wheel. Losing the weight means less effort is required to rotate the wheel. Recent testing of the Alcoa LvL aluminum wheel (heavy-duty trucks) demonstrated up to 3% improvement in tire rolling resistance as compared to a steel wheel. ALTe

ALTe is developing range extended electric powertrains that double fuel economy while also meeting stringent emission requirements, focusing initially on fleet vehicles such as taxis, limos, delivery trucks, vans and shuttle buses in the light to medium duty vehicle classes. The fuel savings achievable in fleet vehicles using range extended electric powertrains makes economic sense for fleet operators today and is a superior solution to parallel hybrids or all-electric vehicles.

Arnco

Arnco has developed a new "eco-friendly" alternative to conventional flatproofing fills. The ecofil line of flatproofing fills, composed primarily of renewable resources, is better for the environment and easier on financial resources while delivering performance and quality equivalent to Arnco SuperFills. When ecofil is used to replace the air of a pneumatic tire, that tire then becomes resistant to punctures or in other words, flatproof. Not only will the tire never go flat, but also the special ecofil formula helps maintain proper inflation and tire deflection. The end result is a longer tire life and a better performing vehicle.

ATDynamics, Inc.

ATDynamics, Inc., introduced the aerodynamic TrailerTail, a rear drag-reduction device that the company claims can increase the fuel efficiency of long-haul tractor-trailers by more than five percent. TrailerTail is constructed of lightweight, rugged plastic panels designed to endure daily wear and drive sbuse, yet ensure smooth opening and closing. A patented TrailerTail hinge system allows drivers to operate doors and access loading bays normally. The TrailerTail collapses from four feet to three inches in length in less than eight seconds.

Autotherm

AUTOTHERM’s Energy Recovery System (ERS) keeps the cabs heater working while the vehicle is turned off keeping the cab warm and the windshield free of snow and ice for hours without idling. The Autotherm ERS is easy-to-install and will save each vehicle thousands of dollars per year. The Autotherm ERS is more efficient than idling an engine and so cost-effective it pays for itself in fuel savings quickly.

Levant Power Corp. has identified an alternative energy source previously untapped by vehicles: the suspension system. MPE Performance

MPE Performance produced Hydrogen generators for gas and diesel engines. The system produces hydrogen and oxygen using electricity provided by a vehicle's alternator and channeled through the battery.
